Hiring: Behaviour Consultants

EAP Inc. is growing, and we are looking for Behaviour Consultants to join our small and dedicated team. Job Description:

Behaviour Consultants at EAP Inc. provide services in home, school and community settings for a diverse caseload of individuals. They are responsible for initial and ongoing assessments, service support plans, behaviour support plans, staff and parent coaching. They work collaboratively with the EAP team to ensure a high quality of services for all clients and engage in ongoing learning and competency building under the supervision of the Clinical Directors.

 

Compensation/Benefits:

  • Behaviour Consultant (BCBA): $40-48/hr

  • Junior Consultant (BCaBA or working towards certification): $30-40/hr

  • Flexible scheduling, set your own hours

  • Work from home

  • Paid travel and mileage

  • Paid admin time

  • Clinical materials provided

  • Supervision towards certification

  • High level of supervision and professional support beyond certification requirements

  • Vacation paid out bi-weekly at 6%

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in special education, applied behaviour analysis

      or a related field (or currently attending grad school)

  • BCBA preferred but supervision can be provided for the right candidate

  • Experience as a Junior Consultant or Behaviour Consultant preferred or extensive experience as a senior behaviour interventionist under BCBA supervision

  • Must be willing to travel and have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license (Greater Vancouver Area)

  • Clearance letter for vulnerable population

  • Two professional references

  • Willing to work some evenings/weekends as required for caseload

 

Assets

  • Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with other clinicians, professionals and clients

  • Experience with functional behaviour assessment, positive behaviour support

      plans, staff training and parent coaching

  • Experience with skills assessments and program development

  • Ability to individualize programming based on client preferences, strengths, support needs and contextual fit

  • Experience consulting in schools

  • Practical functional assessment/skills-based treatment experience

  • Familiarity with peer coaching/peer mediated interventions

  • Experience with a wide range of ages (e.g., early childhood to adulthood)

  • Ability to provide services in more than one language

  • Experience with person-centred planning, transition planning, adult services

  • Experience providing group trainings/workshops
